Baylor Scott & White Health Supervisor, Periop Revenue Charge Capture in Temple, Texas

JOB SUMMARY

The Revenue Charge Capture Supervisor under the guidance and direction of the Director and CFO, is to ensure accurate charge capture by continual updates, reconciliation, and additions to charge master for all surgical and anesthesia procedures for all three surgical departments. Supervise all scheduling and charge capture staff to ensure compliance of assigned staff and functions with all state, federal, and regulatory requirements. Develop departmental budget and capital planning for three surgical departments. Assure that implants are logged into the documentation system and that records are maintained according to the recommendations and policies.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE ROLE

  • Maintain surgical and anesthesia CDM and CPM for accuracy while ensuring consistency across all 3 surgical departments. Ensure all charges are input correctly, reconciliation and chart audits are complete and meet system percent levels of compliance.

  • Supervise all scheduling and charge capture staff. Assist with charge entry and reconciliation training to all staff. Act as a resource for other management team members.

  • Oversee monthly audit of surgery charges, nursing documentation, and reconciliation of nursing documentation correction compliance. Create and produce regular reports for operational managers to monitor trends.

  • Assist with the implementation and maintenance of department charging methodologies and charge sheets. Accountable for remaining current with industry and system standards affecting areas of responsibility including federal and state regulation and payer requirements.

  • Develop and maintain departmental priorities, policies and procedures in concurrence with Director, CFO, and business unit goals to improve services provided.

  • Accountable for assuring compliance with all state, federal and regulatory requirements related to supervised activities. Assure compliance of assigned staff and functions with all state, federal and regulatory requirements.

  • Assist with planning and projecting departmental and capital budgets for all three sites. Assist with new procedure calculations to make sure procedures are profitable for the facility.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • EDUCATION - H.S. Diploma/GED Equivalent

  • EXPERIENCE - Less than 1 Year of Experience
