Chicago Grade Landfill , a Waste Connections company, is looking for a safety conscious Laborer / Equipment Operator to join our team in Templeton CA ! This is a full time, long term position with a reputable company.

Work shifts are subject to business needs and seniority. This position will be Tuesday-Saturday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM . Overtime hours may be required.

The pay range for this position is $20-21/hour . We offer excellent benefits including: medical, dental, vision, flexible spending account, 401(k) retirement. You will also be eligible to earn a quarterly safety incentive bonus and will receive an annual boot allowance.

Responsibilities Include:

• Spotting/directing trucks

• Operating equipment such as water truck, forklift, loader.

• Traffic management - moving signs and cones

• Ensure all customers wear proper PPE

• Process and pack electronics

• Manage mattress recycling area

• General site cleanup/landscaping

• Perform other assigned duties at the landfill as needed

Requirements:

• At least 2 years of work experience in a labor type position

• Experience operating heavy equipment is preferred

• Ability to read, understand, follow, and enforce site safety procedures

• Commit to safe operating practices at all times

• Valid Driver's License and clean driving record

• The ability to lift up to 50 pounds

• Ability to work in all weather conditions throughout entire shift
