Aerotek Fitter/tig Welder in Terrell, Texas

Job Title: Tig Welder

Job Description

Join a leading company in the design and manufacture of custom-engineered metal building systems. For over three decades, we have efficiently serviced customers throughout North America and beyond, providing sophisticated, energy-efficient, and environmentally friendly building solutions. As a Tig Welder, you will be responsible for welding steel structural parts as specified per drawings or prints, operating grinders to prepare and finish welds, and setting up the welding machine to ensure proper welding within specifications. This is a direct placement role with a base pay plus production bonus, ranging from 85K - 90K per year. The position requires working 10-hour shifts from 10PM - 6AM, Sunday - Thursday, with a potential shift to 8-hour shifts during slow seasons (8PM start time).

Hard Skills

  • Reading weld symbols

  • Weld fitter experience

  • Structural welding on aluminum, metal, and steel

  • Passing 1G Weld Test

  • Reading a tape measure down to 1/16th inch

  • Reading and interpreting shop drawings

  • Operating grinder to prepare and finish welds

  • Operating overhead flip-rite cranes, arc gouger, transfers, and magnetic drills

  • Setting up the welding machine to ensure proper welding within specifications

This is a permanent position.

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Terrell, Texas.

Non climate controlled site
