United States Steel Operating Technician (New Hire) in Texas

Responsibilities:

  • Work according to the safety objectives, policy, and procedures of your department.

  • Move material to support USS-OOH’s process.

  • Loading and unloading trucks.

  • Be able to identify correct material, quantities, and rack locations.

  • Perform preventive maintenance inspection on forklifts.

  • Responsible for the house keeping in their work areas.

  • Any other function deemed necessary by supervision.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED.

  • The ability to work an industrial schedule including overtime (rotating or fixed 8-hour shift work, which will include Saturdays, Sundays, and Holidays).

  • Adherence to safety procedures/guidelines at all times.

  • Work with and around materials that may be hot, heavy or sharp, and hazardous chemicals.

  • Ability to perform manual labor and lift in excess of 25 lbs.
