Do you have experience in coordinating care or helping people cope with life? Then join our Behavioral Health Services program! EBF provides the highest level of support to members and families through life transitions, behavioral concerns, and/or behavioral health and substance abuse challenges.
The BH Clinician (BHC) is responsible for comprehensive coordination of behavioral health services for adult and child members who are eligible for enrollment with public behavioral health services. The BHC will meet the BHT requirements (OP). The BHC assesses the members behavioral health needs and eligibility for services. The BHC also coordinates communication between the member and other providers or community agencies to ensure coordination of care. The BH Clinician is also available to provide Intake, assessment as well as offer therapeutic and support services.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Screens, evaluates and schedules referred members who may be in need of behavioral health services.
- Researches eligibility for behavioral health services.
- In conjunction with clinical staff, develops and monitors member service plans.
- Assists members in securing necessary behavioral health services from EBF or other appropriate providers.
- When indicated in member\'s service plan will provide rehabilitation services that include: living skills training, cognitive rehabilitation, and supported employment services to enrolled members.
- When indicated in member\'s service plan will provide support services that include: case management, personal assistance, family support, peer support, respite care, and transportation services to enrolled members.
- May provide individual, family, and/or group counseling based on needs as determined by the Clinical Director and EBF policies.
- May conduct updates on annual assessments and develop treatment plans as determined by the Clinical Director and EBF policies.
- In coordination with the treatment team, the BHC facilitates Child and Family Team and Adult Recovery Team meetings to review progress/barriers and determine appropriateness of services and medical necessity of services.
- Maintains member records in accordance with agency and funding source requirements.
- Provides complete documentation and reporting of member behavioral health services in accordance with agency and funding requirement.
- Attends and participates in all professional meetings and clinical staffing.
- Performs crisis intervention and solution-focused interventions.
- Links members to other community resources as part of outreach services.
- Arranges transportation of members to behavioral health appointments as necessary.
- Participates in ongoing program planning and development.
- Ensures services are provided in a culturally competent manner.
- Adheres to all EBF policies, procedures and protocols in addition to State/RHBA regulations.
- Will maintain EBF productivity, timelines and quality standards set forth by EBF.
- May facilitate or participate in individual or group skills training as determined by the clinical director.
- Will conduct Rapid Response and/or Intakes based on the needs of the assigned work location.
- Any other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Education/Experience:
- HS diploma or equivalency diploma with 18 credit hours of post high school education in a field related to behavioral health services PLUS two years of full-time behavioral health work experience
- HS diploma or equivalency diploma with at least four year of behavioral health experience
- Masters Degree in a field relat d to behavioral health
- Bachelors Degree in a field related to behavioral health
- Bachelors Degree and at least one year of full-time behavioral health work experience
- Associates Degree and at least two years of full-time behavioral health work experience
Regulatory:
- Clean criminal background checks.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Obtain and maintain a Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card.
- Valid, unrestricted Arizona drivers license and the willingness to use personal vehicle in the course of employment. Must meet minimum requirements of agency insurance carrier.
- Must be able to meet training and agency compliance requirements for the position.
- Spanish speaking preferred.
Required Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:
Strong Clinical knowledge.
Extensive knowledge of managed care systems, AHCCCS/Title XIX medical assistance screening, and RBHA policies and practices.
Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
