Job Description:

The College of Mount Saint Vincent is seeking a candidate for the position of full-time Clinical Placement Coordinator (Non-Registered Nurse). The Clinical Placement Coordinator is responsible for coordinating & managing the clinical placements of Graduate and Undergraduate students in the clinical portion of their curriculum. This position reports to the Assistant Dean of Nursing for Clinical and Simulation Learning.

Responsibilities Include:

Placement: Under the direction of the Assistant Dean for Clinical Skills and Simulation:

  • Work with the Clinical Placement Team to optimize clinical placement efforts.

  • Communicate deadline updates and reminders via email, phone, Canvas, and Nurse Central.

  • Maintain and update accurate student records, correspondence, and evaluations.

  • Ensure compliance with standards by regularly reviewing NYSED, CDC, OSHA, and other government regulations.

  • Collaborate with the Program Director and course coordinators to secure and maintain clinical sites.

  • Create and manage clinical placement schedules.

  • Act as a liaison for students regarding required documentation for clinical placement.

  • Provide Clinical Adjuncts with necessary documentation for student and adjunct placement.

  • Serve as a contact for clinical sites, sharing relevant student and faculty information.

  • Secure clinical placements for assigned programs.

  • Coordinate with Program Directors and course coordinators on the undergraduate program's clinical needs.

  • Manage and participate in new student orientations.

  • Notify clinical agencies or faculty of any student delays or interruptions.

  • Organize clinical placement processes and maintain a shared network drive for the clinical placement team.

Requirements

  • Two years of experience in clinical placement coordination or nursing program support.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Proven ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.

  • Familiarity with the CastleBranch software system.
