Our client, a local employment center is seeking temporary teaching assistants to join their team for a 1-month contract. As a teaching assistant, you will be part of the Education Department team. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, interpersonal and organizational skills which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Temporary Teaching Assistant

Location: South Bronx

Pay Range: $25-$30 per hour

Schedule: 7:30AM-4:30 PM Mon-Fri

Duration: 1 month assignment

What’s the Job?

• Cover classes as needed – reading, math and high school diploma courses

• Monitor students and the classroom during each assigned period

• Ensure students are completing tasks, assignments, and/or projects as designated within provided lesson plans

• Report concerns or other observations as necessary to the Academic Manager

• Connect with Academic Supervisor and/or Program Director when needed for any necessary updates

What’s Needed?

• Bachelor’s degree in education, or a related field

• Experience in teaching at various levels

• Strong classroom management skills and ability to create an inclusive and motivating learning environment.

• Passion for supporting young adults in their math education and career development journey

• Familiarity with educational technology and willingness to integrate it into teaching practices
