*Where You Will Work  *

Our global headquarters is in Phoenix, Arizona. Several hundred employees support our operations in finance, human resources, health and safety, information technology, planning, and more. Our flexible work program allows employees to work virtually as well as come together in person when needed at our Collaboration Hub in Phoenix and/or one of our site locations. Employees can work remotely from most states in the U.S., with the exception of California, Connecticut, Illinois, Kansas, Kentucky, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Hampshire, New York, North Carolina, Oklahoma and South Carolina. Additional states may be excluded from remote work based on business factors. Should the position shift to in-person (office/site) work in the future, the company will offer relocation benefits at that time, so long as the position meets the established eligibility for these benefits.

Description

Perform accounting and reporting duties primarily focused on the accounting close process including Oil & Gas revenue accounting. Responsibilities include recording journal entries, performing financial analysis and account reconciliations among other duties. Attention to detail and good organizational skills are necessary.

  • Complete assigned duties as part of the accounting close process. Apply knowledge of accounting policies and procedures to assigned tasks which include recording journal entries, and performing research and analysis among other duties.

  • Working knowledge of Oil & Gas revenue accounting including revenue accruals, royalty calculations and reporting, pipeline and producer imbalances, and oil & gas transportation agreements.

  • Analyze, interpret and communicate to supervisor any action items or variances that are identified in the month-end close and analytical process as appropriate.

  • Review processes for improvements as changes occur or new requirements are added to the month-end close process. Use knowledge gained and prior experience in making recommendations that are practical and which gain efficiencies.

  • Assist in audit preparation by developing required schedules, reconciliation reports and performing research.

  • Perform other duties as requested.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • H.S. Diploma or GED and six (6) years professional experience in accounting, including two (2) years in extended academic instruction (certifications, instructed training, OR on the job training, etc..) in Accounting or Finance; OR

  • Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or closely related area and four (4) years professional experience in accounting; OR

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or closely related area and two (2) years of accounting experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in oil and gas revenue accounting.

  • Experience in asset retirement obligations.

  • Experience in SAP and/or Quorum.

Criteria/Conditions:

  • Personal protective equipment is required when performing work in a mine, outdoor, manufacturing or plant environment, including hart hat, hearing protection, safety glasses, safety footwear, and as needed, respirator, rubber steel-toe boots, protective clothing, gloves and any other protective equipment as required.

What We Offer You

The estimated annual pay range for this role is currently  $66,000-$90,000. This range reflects base salary only and does not include bonus payments, benefits or retirement contributions. Actual base pay is determined by experience, qualifications, skills and other job-related factors. This role is eligible for additional discretionary and incentive payment considerations based on company and individual performance.
