Summary
Reporting to the Director of Aftermarket Sales, the Account Manager, Senior performs all sales and account management-related activities in his/her assigned geographic and customer account-specific areas, as outlined below.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Relational:
Actively apply the processes of prospecting for and developing customer accounts
Promote long-term relationships with customers through fair and ethical business practices
Maintain consistent and effective communication with customer representatives on all accounts – sometimes after-hours
Entertain customer representatives when appropriate and within Company ethical standards
Address conflicts immediately whenever customer dissatisfaction arises with the Company or Company’s level of service
Monitor Company’s performance on all work performed to ensure Customer satisfaction
Technical:
Detailed understanding of gas compression equipment characteristics of all major OEMs including Ariel, Caterpillar, Waukesha, Frick, etc.
Support customers with technical expertise for gas compression equipment maintenance, overhauls, revamps, and spare part purchasing
Generate compressor performance predictions utilizing supplier software
Correctly identify project specific accessories (i.e. spare parts, upgrades, emissions reduction upgrades, control panels, process and utility piping and valves )
Generate and provide detailed support information (i.e. lead time, vendor documentation, etc.)
Stay abreast of all new products and new technology
Remain current on competitive equipment and services, regional pricing and competition advancements
Attend and direct corporate and field level meetings to drive performance improvements internally and externally.
Commercial:
Fully manage the Aftermarket sales business for the assigned territory / customer base
Responsible for quoting of each job, alignment with Operations to ensure each project meets or exceeds Company profit target
Promote the benefits of Company services as compared to competitive services
Understand customer’s forecasted needs, equipment lead-times, and other constraints to ensure timely solutions
Facilitate and administer all required paperwork and documentation for all transactions including Executed contracts, Purchase Orders, and all Customer required AP processes
Provide Aftermarket Services quotations and assist in negotiation of contractual matters including MCSA/MSA/Credit
Resolve billing matters and accounts receivable collections and maintain balance between Company/Customer
Prospect new accounts on a regular basis
Maintain familiarity with market conditions and regional activity
Administrative:
Comply with all Company Safety Policies (including operation of company vehicles)
Travel up to 50%
Coordinate with regional shops and service teams to ensure on-time job completion and equipment deliveries
Communicate customer needs, field concerns, and solutions to appropriate Sales Manager and/or Operations Manager
Maintain accurate and current information within the Company CRM Reporting System
Convey competitive information to Company Management
Comply with all employee guidelines enumerated in the Company Employee Manual
Offer creative ideas to improve sales/customer performance
Other duties as assigned

Completing minimum 40 hours of continuing education yearly
Education & Certifications
High school diploma
Possess and maintain a valid Driver’s License with clean driving record and have reliable transportation
Pass the required physical examination, including drug and alcohol screening (scheduled and random)
Work Experience
Minimum of three (7) years of compression sales experience and/or a minimum of seven (10) years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience required
Alternative experience may include, compression field operations, compression engineering, or operations support.

Able to learn thoroughly and gain a proficient technical knowledge of compression and key components of a gas compressor package such as reciprocating and rotary screw natural gas compressors, natural gas-powered engines, and electric driven packages
Must be able to learn thoroughly and gain a proficient technical knowledge of the gas compression sizing/applications such as Ariel, Frick, Gemini, and Cameron performance sizing software
Must have a thorough understanding of natural gas service industry including treating, processing, and production equipment
Proficient with Microsoft Office Products (Excel, Dynamics, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.)
Must be able to learn and become proficient in Company CRM
