Position Summary

The Entry-Level Accountant will be responsible for applying generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) to analyze financial data and prepare accurate and timely financial reports. This role includes compiling and analyzing financial information, preparing journal entries, generating financial statements, conducting monthly P&L reviews, reconciling bank statements, maintaining various supporting schedules for the Balance Sheet, and reconciling intercompany transactions.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Perform accounting tasks including maintaining and reconciling the general ledger.

• Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance.

• Assist with month-end year and year-end closing process, ensuring all financial data is accurate and submitted on time.

• Assist with balance sheet reconciliation.

• Ensure the closing process is compliant with GAAP and SOX standards and regulatory requirements.

• Execute cash flow transactions, ensuring accurate and timely recording.

• Perform journal entries and cost allocations.

• Maintain and update accounting records, files, and documentation.

Education, Experience, & Training

• Accounting degree required

• 1-3 years accounting experience

• Experience with accounting software

• Advanced Microsoft Office skills (especially Excel)

• Strong attention to detail

• Ability to work independently

Physical Demands

• Required to sit for long periods of time

• Infrequent light physical effort required
