Old Dominion Freight Line Manager Licenses and Permits in Thomasville, North Carolina

Manage all areas of operating licenses that includes fleet licenses and permits. Ensure the fleet is legal to operate nationally as deemed necessary by operations. Research and stay abreast of all regulatory requirements and changes related to the legal operation of a large national fleet of tractors, trucks, trailers, and dollies.
Primary Responsibilities
Identify, with direct assistance from Line-haul Operations, Service Center Managers, and the Maintenance Department the licenses and permits required by local, state, and federal authorities to operate all equipment in the fleet in the manor requested by operations
Review local, state, and federal license and permitting guidelines and regulatory requirements to ensure compliance with current license and permit laws and transportation regulations
Prepare DMV forms to obtain, replace or transfer license plates as deemed necessary for the fleet
Coordinate with local DMV branch offices for the delivery of requested license plates and tags, which may require in-person site visits to the DMV
Complete required local and state license and permit documentation and request forms, hardcopy or electronically, and assign each license or permit acquired to specific equipment
Obtain required renewals of existing licenses and permits
Maintain accurate, detailed records of all licenses and permits obtained for each piece of rolling stock equipment in service
Maintain titles of all rolling stock equipment
Complete the assignment of titles to buyers of OD’s rolling stock after proper payment and approval
Maintain monthly reconciliation and accounting of licenses and permits acquired
Job Qualifications
Education:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
Experience:
Related experience in the field of transportation fleet licensing/permitting
Detail and accuracy oriented
Microsoft office skills, particularly Word and Excel
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
Self-motivated and able to work under pressure to meet deadlines

Working Shift:
Shift and hours to be determined.
