Description

We have a client in rural Illinois with a critical and timely need for an experienced accounting & bookkeeping professional. Position will include daily accounting operations such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, preparation of customer invoices through weekly and monthly activities such as payroll preparation, reconciliations, month end close and periodic financial statements. It would be added value if also able to complete payroll taxes, sales and use tax, tracking trends, aiding in some operational management items and supporting some HR tasks.

A great match for this opportunity will be comfortable hitting the ground running with many of these tasks and comfortable coming into a role which may require some investigation, catch up and clean up of potential duplicate transactions. A self-starter with effective decision making skills as well as proven capability to communicate with multiple levels of leadership (Owner, Operations Manager, Sales Manager, etc) will be successful in this role.

Compensation request will be considered in alignment with experience offered. Our client is happy to be competitive to ensure a talented employee is rewarded and feels valued. While there is work to support a full-time work schedule (40 hours per week, Mon-Fri) but if some flexibility was desired that can be an option. There’s great value to being onsite and exposed to daily operations of the business; the potential for limited hybrid flexibility could be an option as you gain confidence and autonomy in the role.

Requirements

Familiarity with QuickBooks in addition to Microsoft Excel proficiency is highly valued. Proven ability to be successful in a full cycle accounting role within a dynamic small business is a must.
