Job Description

Candidate will play a key role in supporting highly visible strategic initiatives that will drive our continued leadership position in treating patients fighting cardiovascular disease.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement in-depth reviews, similar to management consulting engagements, of key strategic business issues

  • Work directly with Strategy leadership and global colleagues to develop strategic and tactical business plans cross-functionally and cross-divisionally that drive business growth

  • Integrate findings from research and other analyses into the annual strategic planning process, which establishes the business imperatives for the organization

  • Develop presentations to facilitate communication of Japan Business Unit results and strategic initiatives to internal audiences

  • Conduct literature reviews, develop market/valuation models, and create impactful presentations to support internal analysis of opportunities and subsequent recommendations

Education and Experience

  • A Bachelor’s degree required, a BS in a quantitative discipline is preferred

  • A minimum of 8 years of experience (can include internships and academic research experience) preferred in a medical device, pharmaceutical or healthcare related industry, with at least 2 years of direct experience in strategy, marketing, business development and/or a management consulting role

  • Professional working proficiency of English

  • Ability to listen to stakeholders, discover unmet clinical/technical needs, develop strong rapport with audience, and be customer-focused

  • Demonstrated experience working with a range of business, clinical, marketing, and technical professionals and navigating through complex situations

  • Highly detail-oriented and results-driven, with self-motivation to deliver meaningful output

  • Ability to synthesize complex information into a high-level strategic message, while also understanding the details

  • Comfortable with multi-tasking in a fluid and dynamic environment with changing needs. Able to manage through ambiguous situations to find meaningful solutions in a timely and effective manner
