Actalent Powertrain Electrical Triage Engineer in Toledo, Ohio

Job Title: Electrical Engineer

Job Description

The Powertrain Electrical Triage Engineer will collaborate with various teams to identify and resolve issues on vehicles at all build levels. The candidate will be responsible for leading the root cause analysis of powertrain electrical issues, particularly during the pilot phases and early powertrain electrical work.

Responsibilities

  • Lead powertrain electrical root cause and determination of issues during all pilot phases.

  • Conduct early powertrain electrical work and prototype builds.

  • Perform root cause analysis of electrical issues in vehicles.

  • Identify ownership of issues and drive them to resolution.

Essential Skills

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited university.

  • 3-5 years of automotive system and component experience.

  • Powertrain and Vehicle system knowledge.

  • Hands-on experience with CDA, CAN, CANalyzer, Canoe, and other electrical root cause tools.

  • Proficiency in writing and comprehending software/hardware requirements.

  • Excellent communication skills and ability to interact with all levels of management.

  • Self-starter and motivated to produce results.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Extensive knowledge and hands-on use of INCA, CDA, CAN, CANalyzer, Canoe, and other electrical root cause and diagnostic tools.

  • Knowledge of Shanin Red X or other reactive quality tools.

  • Green Belt and Black Belt certification is preferred.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $45.97 - $45.97
