Senior Business Finance Analyst Location(s): Toledo, OH, US, 43659-0001 Function: Finance and Accounting Audience: Experienced Professional Work Arrangement: Hybrid Requisition ID: 62900 PURPOSE OF THE JOB TheSenior Commercial Finance Analyst, Nonwovens partners with Commercial leaders to provide financial analytics that drive business results in support of the short-term and long-term value of the Nonwovens business. The position primarily interfaces with field sales (global scope EU, AP and NA), margin excellence, and pricing operations driving continuous improvement to deliverables and processes. The Senior Financial Analyst will be a dynamic leader within the business by providing valuable decision support analysis and driving business success. The position is an important part of the financial talent pipeline and serves as a feeder for manufacturing finance and corporate finance roles (i.e. sales manager, pricing analyst, margin enhancement, plant controller, corporate financial analyst, etc.) Reports to:This position reports to the Global Nonwovens Finance Director with strong connection and partnership to FP&A. Span of Control: No direct reports, but informal leadership and the ability to lead through influence will be required. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Influence the performance of the business segment - Partner with commercial team as the lead financial support for the business. Interface directly with sales and margin enhancement leaders to build robust operating plans and measure business performance. Create periodic reporting and provide insights into drivers of results. Areas of focus include price, sales volumes, product mix, minimizing supply disruption, and managing inventory positions. Synthesize results to identify risks and opportunities and communicate insights to Composites leadership. Analyze competitive markets across the business; assess competitive activity & volume/share positions and forecast price & revenue. Provide decision support by financial modeling, business case analysis and financial/management reporting in order to retain and gain new business. Gather, compile, analyze, prepare and summarize data for complex financial projects/subjects such as planning, formulating and conducting financial studies to define performance plans for short and long-range business segment goals. Evaluate financial implications of specific business decisions/opportunities and advise management accordingly to ensure targeted financial performance achievement. Exercise judgment to determine appropriate course of action and prepare business recommendations based on sound financial analysis. Participate in the development of strategic and operational objectives for the segment that are aligned to Corporate and Group strategic objectives. Create analysis using the Business Information system to drive the financial performance of the business segment. Provide clear and controlled reporting and analysis - Translate the strategic and operational plans of the business into the sales plan. Communicates plan expectations to field sales and manages follow-up activities including sales plan/ops plan reconciliation. Provide in-depth analysis on variances to plan, forecast, and prior year. Provide risk analysis for contingency planning. Provide insightful and competitive analytics that anticipate change and drive decision-making.
