Description We are seeking a Sr. Accountant to join our team based in TONAWANDA, New York. This role is a pivotal part of our finance team, taking charge of account reconciliation, sales tax filings, cash monitoring, assistance with month-end close, and delivering analytical reports.

Responsibilities:

• Leading the process of account reconciliation to ensure the accuracy and completeness of all financial records

• Overseeing the filing of sales tax returns, ensuring compliance with state and local regulations

• Regularly conducting inventory reconciliations to maintain accurate inventory records and identifying any discrepancies

• Analyzing financial data to uncover trends, variances, and areas for potential improvement

• Preparing and presenting financial reports to management, offering insights and recommendations based on the results of financial analysis

• Ensuring accurate and timely recording of financial transactions by preparing and posting journal entries

• Managing the accounts payable processes, which includes verifying invoices, processing payments, and communicating with vendors. Requirements • Proven experience in Account Reconciliation

• Proficiency in Balance Sheet Reconciliation

• Demonstrable skill in Bank Reconciliations

• Strong understanding of General Ledger

• Experience in creating and managing Journal Entries

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel

• Proven track record of handling Month End Close procedures
