    Summary:

    The Field Training Manager will serve as the central figure in educating our sales team and customers about our metal roofing products and their installation. This role is crucial for driving engagement and enhancing the proficiency of our team and the satisfaction of our customers. The Field Training Manager will coordinate training events, provide expert advice, support quality assurance, and represent the company at trade shows.

    Core Functions:

    Training and Development:

  • Develop and deliver comprehensive training programs for sales teams on metal roofing products and their installation.

  • Organize and conduct "New Customer Training Days" and "Customer Appreciation Days" to enhance customer knowledge and satisfaction.

  • Create training materials, manuals, and presentations to facilitate learning.

    Customer Support:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for product-related inquiries from customers and sales teams.

  • Provide expert advice and troubleshooting assistance for product installations and applications.

    Quality Assurance:

  • Collaborate with the Quality department to address and resolve claims related to product quality.

  • Provide technical support and insights to improve product performance and customer satisfaction.

    Sales and Marketing Support:

  • Attend trade shows, conferences, and industry events to promote our products and educate potential customers.

  • Work closely with the sales and marketing teams to align training initiatives with business objectives.

  • Assist in the development of marketing materials and product documentation.

    Internal Subject Matter Expert:

  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of all metal roofing products and their installation processes.

  • Stay updated on industry trends, standards, and best practices to continually improve training programs.

  • Act as a resource for internal teams, providing insights and expertise to support various business functions.

  • Proven experience in roofing, construction, or a related field.

  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills.

  • Mastery of product details, benefits, and applications, often assessed through training completion and performance in related assessments.

  • Ability to develop and deliver effective training programs.

  • Strong work ethic and ability to excel in a fast-paced evolving environment.

  • Experience in customer service and quality assurance is a plus.

    Education & Experience:

    Preferred:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • Relevant certifications or training in metal roofing, construction, or sales techniques is advantageous.

    Physical Demands & Work Environment:

    Work is primarily performed in an office environment. This role will routinely utilize standard office equipment to perform the core functions listed in this job description. This position requires the ability to occasionally lift office products and supplies as well as communicate verbally and electronically.

    Travel:

    The position requires travel to various locations for training and trade shows. Anticipated 65% to 75% annual travel, contingent upon business needs.
