Robert Half Accounts Receivable Manager in Torrance, California
Description
Robert Half Management Resources is recruiting for an Accounts Receivable Manager consultant to support our growing manufacturing client for a 3-6 month in-office engagement in the South Bay. This consultant will report into the Finance Director and be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end processes of managing customer credit, invoicing, and payment collections. The ideal Accounts Receivable Manager consultant will come with the communication expertise to navigate challenging customer collection and maintain strong relationships with external customers and internal management and team members.
Responsibilities:
Conduct credit checks on new and potential customers
Implement and uphold debt collection policies and guidelines
Establish and enforce standardized deadlines for invoicing and payment collection
Ensure timely collection of payments
Develop and implement ‘best practices’ for the A/R function and create Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) accordingly
Negotiate with customers in instances of nonpayment to reach amicable resolution
Prepare monthly feedback reports detailing payment collection status and performance metrics by account
Liaise with external and internal stakeholders as needed
Requirements
Previous hands-on experience managing the accounts receivable function for a company
Previous experience with collections
Ability to prepare management reporting and present status and aging with leadership
Ability to assess, improve, and document standard operating procedures within A/R
Experience using Acumatica or similar software preferred
Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
