Do you want to work in EHS department? Do you enjoy directing, coordinating, and evaluating EHS programs?

We are currently seeking a Director of Environmental, Health, Safety and Sustainability who will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing all EHS programs and policies to ensure compliance with established company policies, Federal, State, and local regulations.

What we’ll get you doing:

  • Develop and execute strategies to systematically control and reduce sites safety hazards and environmental impact (energy, non-hazardous and hazardous waste, water).

  • Utilize Lean Principles (Kaizen, Gemba etc.) to drive Continuous Improvement impacting EHS and Sustainability programs. Engage sites functions and prioritize initiatives and resources to maximize effectiveness

  • Establish and achieve goals based on gap analysis of department or plant EHS performance; prioritize issues and projects to achieve EHS compliance

  • Stay current on regulatory issues/trends through seminars, networking, industry group participation; advise management on potential impact of proposed legislation; develop plans; arrange funding to stay in compliance with new regulations; and impact sustainability.

  • EHS technical work in a manufacturing operations environment demonstrating implementation of safety management plan for flammable chemicals

The essential requirements of the role include:

  • 10+ years relevant experience, with a minimum of 5 years of EHS management experience, including EHS technical work in a manufacturing operations environment demonstrating implementation of safety management plan for flammable chemicals

  • Must be able to lead and influence across levels and departments in multiple geographies. Ability to work up and down the organization in order to drive focus and impact of results. Must think and act strategically and view the business from a general management standpoint. Must be very customer focused and have strong interpersonal and communications skills

  • Experience with DBS or similar lean manufacturing systems and continuous improvement culture Good computer skills (Microsoft products)

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • Proven mentoring and coaching abilities; demonstrated ability to motivate & inspire others. Leading change through influence and collaboration

  • Capable of influencing peers, subordinates, superiors, regulators

The Salary range for this role is $170k-$207k. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.

This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
