Intellisense Systems Inc Hardware Senior Quality Assurance Engineer in Torrance, California

As Senior Quality Assurance Engineer, you will address QA related contract requirements supporting product design and test, support Failure Review Boards (FRB), Material Review Board, Supplier Quality, and customers queries. Prior experience working in the Aerospace or Defense industry in an engineering or quality assurance role is desired.  Experience working in process-oriented environments that deal with mission or safety critical products is a plus.

What You'll Do:

 

  • Represent Quality Assurance for quality assurance activity in support of DoD programs applying AS9100 QMS and AS9145 APQP requirements.

  • Author and maintain program specific quality assurance plans that are tailored to program requirements.

  • Reviews and approve program documentations (drawings, assemblies, procedures, reports, etc.)

  • Understand program requirements and interface with engineering, manufacturing, customer, supplier, and subcontractor representatives to ensure requirements are met.

  • Supports product return process (RMAs).

  • Monitor and witness verification and validation activities for compliance with approved plans and procedures.

  • Analyze failures, work with engineering to determine root cause, and initiate corrective action on product and internal process failures.

  • Track problem reports, nonconformances and verifies corrective action.

  • Create first article inspection reports (FAIRs) per AS9102 requirements.

  • Support and participate in compliance and customer audits.

  • Perform supplier qualification, performance evaluations, visits, and audits.

  • Manages supplier quality performance and audits.

  • Provide guidance and training for quality assurance processes.

  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement of the Quality Systems.

  • Defines, analyzes, manages, and improves program and process metrics.

  • This position requires access to US Export Controlled Information.

  • Other duties as assigned.

    What You'll Bring:

     

  • Bachelor’s degree in a Technical or Engineering discipline required.

  • 5-8+ years’ experience in Quality Assurance Engineering.

  • Familiarity with applying ISO9000; AS9100 QMS, AS9145 APQP and AS9102 FAIRs requirements.

  • Strong working knowledge and understanding of QA processes and methodology.

  • Experience with testing, failure reporting and analysis.

  • Highly effective communication skills, both written and verbal.

  • Active Secret Security Clearance or ability to obtain Security Clearance is a plus.

    Pay Range:

    $96,000-$138,000

    However, base salary for this position will vary based on your skills, qualifications, and experience.
