Senior Manager, Special Projects
Position Summary
The Senior Manager, Special Projects leads a small, dynamic team focused on the delivery of exceptional content pushing the boundaries of engineering, design and execution. You will lead in definition, development and delivery of special projects and special wishes, playing a key role in realizing each client’s truly unique vision and demonstrating that “Everything is Important”. This will be a cross functional, global role
This position is onsite in Torrance, CA with some travel.
Essential Functions
Lead the team responsible for delivery of unique content, supporting them in delivering completed projects within the required timeframes and meeting content value objectives for all models
Assess internal processes for managing unique content and lead initiatives to improve workflow, scope of personalization and overall performance of the team
Drive a best-in-class special projects journey for Singer clients across all restoration services
Oversee the execution of special projects and special wishes from brief definition through to delivery across all restoration services, both in the UK and the US
Create business cases for new content, target sales volumes and ensure spec and aftersales teams have what they need to action sales
Develop and manage all structures, templates, and processes for special wishes and special projects management to successfully measure KPIs and drive improved performance and increased revenue
Contribute to the growth of special wishes capability within the business, finding the balance between supporting operations in delivering completed builds on time and pushing boundaries for what we can achieve for our clients
Work closely with Specifications & Special Projects team to finalize specifications and resolve issues in time to support the parts ordering process, parts lead times and support the build schedule
Work closely with leaders and stakeholders throughout the business to do what it takes to drive progress and steward excellent outcomes
Take a hands-on approach to special projects, working with the team to ensure that no detail gets missed
Lead strategic decision making based on customer insights, contributing to commercial and personalization strategy across all vehicle restoration services. Report status and recommendations to senior management regularly to drive positive change
Report to the department head regarding objectives, planned activities, reviews, analysis, budgets, and expenses
Reflect the values of the Singer brand in all customer and internal interactions supporting our value of, “Everything is Important”
Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Required Education/Experience:
8+ total years of experience within luxury automotive industry or equivalent brand industry
Team leadership experience
Preferred Education/Experience and/or Certifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, design or other relevant fields
Skills/Abilities and Attributes:
Strong leadership, organizational and problem-solving skills
Excellent communicator, both written and verbal; ability to express ideas clearly and actively listen to others
Team oriented, with a strong ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment to meet multiple deadlines

Physical Demands/Work Environment:
Must be able to participate in occasional travel for business purposes, including internationally
Must be able to work in a seated position for extended periods
Must be able to use fingers, hands, and arms at computer keyboard for extended periods

Compensation:
The starting salary range for this position is between $111,600 - 139,500 per year, plus an annual bonus plan. Actual compensation will be determined by skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
