Description We are offering a contract-to-hire opportunity for a Staff Accountant in the Manufacturing industry, based in Torrance, California. The role primarily involves stepping in for accounting duties during a period of maternity leave, with the possibility of an extended offer at the end of the assignment.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the preparation of general ledger journal entries and monthly balance sheet reconciliation, including bank reconciliation

• Ensure the accurate and timely closing of accounts at the end of each month

• Generate monthly financial analysis reports and distribute them to relevant personnel in a timely manner

• Manage the processing of monthly accounts payable expenditures, including document review, standard invoices, and check generation and distribution

• Record monthly accounting activities for four subsidiaries

• Assist in the preparation of in-house quarterly financial reports, as well as quarter-end and year-end financial audits

• Perform any other related duties as assigned by management

Skills:

• Proficiency in preparing Journal Entries and Bank Reconciliations

• Experience with Month End Close procedures Requirements • Demonstrable experience in preparing Journal Entries

• Proficiency in carrying out Journal Entry Preparation tasks

• Extensive knowledge of Bank Reconciliations and its related processes

• Experience in performing Monthly Bank Reconciliation

• Ability to handle Month End Close procedures

• Relevant experience in the Manufacturing industry

• A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving and organizational skills

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Attention to detail and high level of accuracy

• Ability to meet deadlines and handle multiple tasks simultaneously

• Knowledge of applicable laws, codes, and regulations related to accounting practices in the manufacturing industry.
