RBC Bearings Shipping/Receiving Lead in Torrington, Connecticut
Description
Plans, organizes, and monitors the receiving, storage, distribution and shipment of all items.. Leads the activities related to incoming and outgoing shipments to customer and outside vendors to assure timeliness, accuracy and productivity standards are met. Work with customer service to resolve issues so product can ship on time, ie identification of credit hold issues.
Principal Responsibilities
Must have a good working knowledge of, customers, packing requirements (packed, labeled and freight info) and shipped on time.
Proficiency in creating Advance Ship Notices (ASNs) in customer portals
Working knowledge of export procedures
Work with logistic and shipping companies to ensure on time delivery to our customers
Assures all product for outside vendors are shipped out in a timely fashion and once returned all documents are properly executed and delivered to manufacturing as requested.
Assist employees with work process problems.
Study and suggest procedures to improve efficiency of workers.
Ensures materials are stored properly and safely to conserve space.
Ensures materials are staged for counting and inspection when necessary.
Help find missing products for shipment and cycle counts
Manage Find missing freight/packages and file claims
Ensures receiving reports accurately report material received. Resolves discrepancies/ raises issues to Master Scheduler.
Monitors the flow of paperwork from Receiving to Inventory Control
Oversees the movement of material from the dock to the stock room in an efficient manner.
CSR liaison on status of product and potential improvements on existing orders.
Help resolve credit hold issues for customer shipments
Qualifications: H.S. Degree and 2 years of work history in a manufacturing environment or any combination of experience, education and training which would provide the level of knowledge, skill and ability required.
