There is a need for a lead engineer in the Software discipline. This engineer will perform independently, and contribute to, a Software team in the development of the Operational Flight Programs (OFP) for the Small Form Factors Solutions (SFFS) Product Line.

In this role, you will be an integrated team member, with a technical leadership role and opportunities to collaborate with Systems, Hardware, and Test engineers in all the phases of Project Planning, Requirements Development, Design, Development, Integration and Test. You will prepare design and project artifacts intended to be used within complex programs or across sets of programs in accordance with established processes.

Because of the need for consistent, in-person collaboration and/or the requirement to perform all work onsite due to the nature of this particular role, it will be performed fulltime on site. This means work will be conducted on location at a BAE Systems facility 100% of the time.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

  • Background in embedded and/or application software development in C , specifically targeting the Medium Fidelity Modeling development efforts.

  • Proficient in Visual Studio Development Suite.

  • Foundation in Object-Oriented design and implementation principles.

  • Experience with software and systems engineering processes, methodologies, and tools.

  • Experience performing software testing, validation, and verification activities.

  • Ability to develop, lead, and motivate technical teams.

  • Strong problem-solving skills that translate to working software.

  • Proficient with source code control tools.

  • Active Secret clearance.

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

  • Knowledge of Radar Warning and/or Electronic Attack systems.

  • Full life cycle software development.

  • C#, Python, Java.

  • Continuous Integration Tools.

  • GIT, Jira, Confluence.

  • Agile Development experience.

  • Designing and/or implementing software algorithms.

  • Experience in project leadership.

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $119040 - $202320

Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
