Ashland has an exciting opportunity for a Production Supervisor to join our nutraceuticals business at our Totowa, NJ facility. This is a very visible, significant role within the Company and the manufacturing function. This position will report to a process Engineer.
THE RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE POSITION INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING.
Train Operators in Blending, Milling, Extrusion, Extraction, and Spray Drying.
Train Operators in all aspects of safety and GMPs
Make sure Products are manufactured/Packaged as required by the specifications and batch record
Maintain all applicable records for production/sanitation programs
Procurement of parts and materials (sanitation, chemicals, janitorial supplies, PPEs, and Packaging materials.) needed in the production department.
Maintain/Monitor inventory levels.
Work closely with Maintenance Department making sure equipment is in operating conditions
Close monitor pest control programs.
Closely monitor cleaning agents and equipment and ensure proper and adequate use.
Work along with EHS team and ensure all personnel follows safety regulations.
Assist in investigations and corrective actions as necessary.
Coordinate monitoring samples for RO water system
Understand and perform all quality and food safety responsibilities in compliance with Ashland and FSSC22000 requirements.
Maintain and review preventative maintenance program.
IN ORDER TO BE QUALIFIED FOR THIS ROLE, YOU MUST POSSESS THE FOLLOWING:
High school diploma
Undergraduate/science related
5-10 Years of supervision Experience
THE FOLLOWING SKILL SETS ARE PREFERRED BY THE BUSINESS UNIT:
Bilingual in Spanish Preferred
Excellent oral and writing skills
