Position Summary:

This is a unique opportunity to join the CPM Extrusion Group as a Field Service and Audit Technician. This position will be based at our capital equipment manufacturing facility in Traverse City, Michigan. We are looking for a highly motivated, detail-oriented person with strong technical mechanical aptitude, proficient organizational skills, and outstanding people skills. This job will include traveling locally and internationally on a regular basis and regular interaction with the Extrusion Group facilities worldwide to create a cohesive aftersales environment.

Shift : 1st shift  . $28 per/hour  Depending on experience.

Sign on bonus .

Responsibilities:

  • Support and execute all on-site equipment audits, installation of new equipment, startup and commissioning, repairs, maintenance, and related tasks on our equipment.

  • Manage service call requirements (documentation, tools preparation, and equipment shipping).

  • Inventory and maintain audit gear for operational efficiency and all other specialized service tools.

  • Diagnose technical problems and determine proper solutions.

  • Provide service and customer support during field visits or dispatches.

  • Maintain workflow to schedule.

  • Produce timely, in-depth technical service and expense reports.

  • Use field automation systems.

  • Follow all company procedures and protocols.

  • Build positive relationships with our customers.

Experience and Requirements:

  • Ability to work independently with little supervision.

  • Experience with heavy mechanical process equipment.

  • Experience working with high precision, critical tolerances.

  • Proven field service experience is a plus.

  • Ability to read and understand work instructions and mechanical blueprints.

  • Ability to troubleshoot, test, repair, and service technical equipment.

  • Familiarity with mobile tools and applications.

  • Attention to detail.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Email).

  • Technical degree or related work experience preferred; entry-level candidates will also be considered.

  • Travel required up to 70%.
