Summary

 

This position supports video and audio events at NMC for internaland external stakeholders. This includes delivery, setup, andmedia production-related work (camera operation and/or AVequipment operation) and assisting departmental staff oninstructional technology projects.enhances This position requires working a flexible schedule, including the need for some evening and weekend work.

 

Qualifications

 

Required:

 

• High school Diploma or GED

• Direct hands-on experience setting up and working with video and audio production equipment and video streaming technology.

• Knowledge and ability to use computers, both Mac and PC, and general

software applications (e.g., web browsers, Google Workspace, Microsoft

PowerPoint)

• Customer service experience: help desk system, phone, and in-person.

 

Preferred:

 

• Video shooting and/or editing experience

• Audio-visual event setup experience using a public address or similar system.

• Experience using Prezi and/or Apple's Keynote

• Ability to work in a team setting for large events.

• Ability to work independently and troubleshoot common problems to a resolution.

 

Essential Responsibilities

Media Support

 

• Delivers & sets up media equipment across the college campuses during work hours.

• Encodes video for different applications (i.e. live streaming)

• Audio and video recording, including periodic camera operation for special

events.

• Basic video editing and video conferencing support.

 

Administrative Responsibilities

• Contact for response to delivery and operational problems when Media Coordinator and Technicians are not working.

• When issues or problems develop advises other media staff, even if resolved for tracking purposes.

• Provides reports as requested by full-time Media staff.

Computer Skills

 

To perform this job successfully, an individual will have computer skills, including knowledge of Internet, email, calendaring software and Word Processing software.

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

 

Mathematical Skills

 

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
