Assistant Manager of Facilities The Rescue Mission of Trenton is seeking anAssistant Manager of Facilities. This position is supervised by the Manager of Facility. The Assistant Manager of Facilities assist overseeing the daily operations of physical facilities and property in accordance with Rescue Mission policies and procedures. This will include supervising and evaluating staff, maintaining program policy and ensuring facility security. We provide a safe, clean, warm refuge for the homeless, the hungry, the transient and the addicted. What it’s like to work at the Rescue Mission of Trenton: Rescue Mission of Trenton was founded in 1915 and is a non-profit organization that helps rescue people from themselves and their situations. Our dedicated staff in the Shelter and our Behavioral Health Unit offer care, support and encouragement to all that reside here. We value dignity, communication and helping each of our clients reach their full potential. Clients/residents are assisted by staff with treatment options, medical help, job placement, financial planning, education, counseling and mental health treatment. Our staff works diligently with the clients to get ID, an income and the things necessary to help them with transitioning to housing. Qualifications For Position:

  • At least 3-5 years of experience in facilities operation, warehousing, trucking, maintenance or other related area

  • Must be a critical thinker, able to visualize and troubleshoot problems.

  • Excellent relationship-building/people skills, communication skills and organizational skills

  • Able to work independently

  • Familiarity with Computers and various systems

  • Ability to use hand and power tools, forklift and jack.

  • Must have a valid driver's license

    Physical Facilities:

  • Assist in supervising and evaluating facility operations and maintenance.

  • Oversee and assist with regular preventative maintenance on equipment and facilities,

  • Oversee and assist with the installation and maintenance of machines and equipment.

  • Ensure repairs are completed in a timely and cost-effective manner.

  • Serve as assistant liaison in conducting business with vendors, suppliers, and customers.

  • Assist with the coordination of projects timelines

  • Familiar with health, fire and safety regulations

  • Other duties as assigned
