Job Title: Benefits Program Lead

Job Description

Responsible for the implementation and execution of all retirement and health and welfare elements of benefits administration that aligns with the annual benefits strategy and design. Oversees the day-to-day benefits administration work, monitoring and reviewing benefits performance and reports, create and oversee benefits administration communications and ensures all benefits policies are up to date. Utilizes knowledge and continuous learning of federal and state laws as well as knowledge of current and possible future policies, practices, and trends to ensure the benefits program's complete compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the benefits program administration, including health and welfare and retirement plans.

• Resolution of all escalated benefit questions and issues in a timely manner.

• Lead the annual and new hire enrollment processes including plan configurations in Workday, implementations, communications, testing, and execution. Coordinates the interface and integrations on employee benefit elections are accurately and within enrollment deadlines.

• Audits and tests benefit plan configurations in Workday to ensure smooth operations and minimal errors.

• Ensures COBRA compliance including notifications, and LOAs.

• Manage and reconcile the benefits invoicing in a timely manner.

• Assists with the ongoing strategic design of benefit plans consistent with the organization's financial capacity, economic conditions, competitive market conditions.

• Audits plan documents, plan reports and administrative practices for total compliance with all applicable laws as evidenced by audit documents and records of necessary changes.

• Collaborates with Manager Benefits to prepare the annual fringe benefits budget and to diagnose budget overages as evidenced by explanatory reports and documentation.

• Oversight of tasks and responsibilities effectively while ensuring acceptable results and customer satisfaction as determined by employee and human resources staff feedback.

• Ensures proper interpretation of benefits-related laws, regulations, and pending legislation with potential consequences to the benefits program. Obtains external advice as needed. Documents the correct findings which serves as evidence as required.

• Oversee vendor relationships, costs, and data interfaces to produce satisfactory outcomes.

• Implements new plans and changes to existing plans ensuring the least disruption to stakeholders including the organization, management team, department management, employees, and dependents, as evidenced by a project plan that outlines possible disruption.

• Oversee all facets of the benefit fairs to promote Capital Health benefit plans, including securing vendors, brochures, communications, give aways, and project plan and timeline.

• Plans, creates, and effectively distributes communications that clearly explain why, what, when, and how to the satisfaction of management team members and affected employees.

• Provides subject matter expertise and creates effective and appropriately frequent learning opportunities on complex issues as measured by staff feedback. Coaches benefits staff on an ongoing basis for the purpose of their attaining higher levels of performance

This is a contract to hire position with a duration of 6 Month(s).
