Sorenson Communications, LLC. offers Video Relay Service (VRS), which gives Deaf, who use American Sign Language (ASL), and hearing people the option to communicate in their preferred language - either ASL or spoken English or Spanish. Sorenson also provides onsite and remote interpreting services between English and various other world languages.

CaptionCall, LLC. offers Internet protocol captioned telephone service (IP CTS) using advanced technology and a captioning agent to quickly provide written captions of what callers say on a large, easy-to-read screen.

Job Summary

Sorenson is looking for a Global Account Manager (GAM) to lead all sales initiatives for assigned account(s) in support of our Strategic Sales organization. The GAM is responsible for leading the execution of sales and business development initiatives. This person will help us define long-term organizational strategic goals, build key customer relationships, identify business opportunities, negotiate, and close business deals and maintain extensive knowledge of current market conditions.

Work with the internal team, marketing staff, product, sales, and technology leadership and other leaders to increase sales opportunities and thereby maximize revenue for their organization. To achieve this, they need to find potential new opportunities, present them, ultimately convert them into clients, and continue to grow business in the future. This role will also help manage existing clients and ensure they stay satisfied and positive. They call on clients, often being required to make presentations on solutions and services that meet or predict their clients' future needs. They also serve as leaders within the strategic sales team, setting the standard for performance and results, and assisting the creation of new processes and structures.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Contribute to business development initiatives that are consistent with the BU's overall strategy.
  • Drive revenue generation and development of strategic partnerships within assigned account(s).
  • Create go-to-market strategies in partnership with product and other stakeholders.
  • Must be able to grow and retain existing account(s) by presenting new solutions and services.
  • Must have a thorough knowledge of the market, the solutions/services the company can provide, and the company's competitors.
  • Manage complex contract negotiations and work with legal counsel as required.
  • Identify new market opportunities, evaluate them, and assess their viability.
  • Participate in pricing the solution/service.
  • Develop a predictable pipeline of short, mid, and long-term business for our corporate customers
  • Practice consultative selling to solve business problems
  • Have flexibility to participate in early-morning and late-evening conference calls and to occasionally work and/or travel on weekends/holidays
  • Continuously seek opportunities to expand responsibilities and to improve pursuit teams' chances of winning
  • Ask the right questions, build relationships, and close deals consistently
  • Work in highly collaborative environments to team with Sorenson Sales Engineers, Marketing, Technical, and Product Teams in the region to drive revenue and contribute to YoY growth rates
  • Maintain and lead detailed and accurate quarterly forecasting
  • Motivate and build extended teams around you to unlock the power of Sorenson's Sales organization, customer base and partner organization
