Insight Global CNC Programmer in Trinity, North Carolina

Job Description

Writes complete G code programs (GIBBS) & (ESPRIT CAM)

 Works on multiple levels, change between and create new Work Coordinate Views and draw and write tool paths

 Read and write G-Code & M-Code

 Required to check posted programs for errors and performance

 Analyze job orders, drawings, blueprints, specifications, and design data to calculate dimensions, tool selection, machine speeds, and feed rates.

 Determine reference points, machine cutting paths, or hole locations, and compute angular and linear dimensions, radii, and curvatures.

 Observe machines on trial runs or conduct computer simulations to ensure that programs and machinery will function properly and produce items that meet specifications.

 Write programs in the language of a machines controller and store programs.

 Modify existing programs to enhance efficiency.

 Determine the sequence of machine operations and select the proper cutting tools needed to machine workpieces into the desired shapes.

 Adhere to Company Policies and Procedures

 Adhere to all Safety Rules and Personnel Protective Equipment requirement

Skills and Requirements

Coming from a machinist or programming background

 High school degree or equivalent

 Strong math skills

 Computer software

 Ability to read and interpret technical blueprints

 Mechanical aptitude helpful

 Strong attention to detail

 Ability to troubleshoot and resolve problems with machines as they occur

 Ability to work independently and closely follow direction is essential Technical school certification

 Any certifications in the machining world

 Experience working with G code programs (GIBBS) & (ESPRIT CAM) this is the software that the team uses, they can come with other g code exp (Mastercam, solidworks, etc)

 Aerospace experience null
