Description We are offering a contract for an Accounting Specialist position in TROY, Michigan. This role is within the property management industry, where the successful candidate will be tasked with various accounting and administrative duties.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately and efficiently handle the processing of customer credit applications

• Record and deposit funds for all properties using remote deposit, mobile banking apps, and various lockbox websites

• Ensure proper entry of invoices and processing of payables for a portfolio of properties; collaborate with Property Managers for invoice approvals

• Implement bi-monthly check runs

• Handle and process Form 1099's

• Collaborate with other accounting assistants to prepare year-end 1099's ensuring all filings are done by appropriate due dates

• Take on additional administrative accounting duties as required. Requirements • Prior experience of 2 or more years in a similar role as an Accounting Specialist

• Proficient in managing Accounts Payable (AP)

• Experience in handling Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Proficiency in using Yardi software

• Strong skills in Microsoft Excel

• Familiarity with Form 1099

• Experience in managing check runs
