Henry Ford Health System IT Automation Solution Architect | Troy, MI (Hybrid) | Full Time in Troy, Michigan

DESCRIPTION:

The IT Automation Solution Architect is responsible for participating in the identification and understanding of the business problem, overall design, implementation and managing automation solutions across various business processes such as Access and Revenue Cycle, ERP (HR, Finance, Supply Chain), etc. This position will be fully dedicated to advancing automation in (but not limited to) Business Applications and the role requires a deep understanding of automation technologies, including RPA (Robotic Process Automation), AI, ML, and API integrations, to optimize and streamline operations. The Architect takes general direction from Automation Program Manager or their Director/Leadership and will be a member of the Henry Ford Health Automation Center of Excellence. The Architect performs these activities following HFHS standards and processes.

PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Collaborate with client business and IT/technical teams through shadowing and process mapping to understand business processes, identify automation use cases and assist in development of ROI

  • Develop and design automation solutions and architectures that meet business requirements. Create detailed architectural documents and diagrams to communicate design decisions.

  • Oversee the development and implementation of automation solutions using tools such as, but not limited to, UI Path and Microsoft Power Platform. Ensure best practices are followed in coding standards, security, and compliance.

  • Work with various stakeholders to integrate automation solutions with existing systems, including Revenue Cycle, ERP, CRM and other enterprise applications. Design and implement API integrations to facilitate seamless data flow between systems.

  • Act as a subject matter expert, providing technical guidance and consulting services to the internal IT and operational teams.

  • Develop and implement testing strategies to ensure the robustness and reliability of automation solutions. Monitor and troubleshoot automations solutions, making necessary adjustments to optimize performance.

  • Stay up to date with the latest trends and advancements in automation technologies.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor's Degree required in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field. Master's Degree preferred.

  • Minimum of Five (5) years of experience required in designing and implementing IT or automation solutions. Eight (8) years preferred.

  • Experience in Revenue Cycle or ERP is preferred.

  • Proven experience with automation tools such as UI Path, Microsoft Power Platform or other automation technologies.

  • Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies.

  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C#, or Java.

  • Experience with API development and integration.

  • Knowledge of AI and ML technologies is a plus.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

  • Ability and willingness to self-motivate, self-manage and maintain flexibility in an ever-changing environment.
