Salary $65-75K depending on experience Location: Troy, MI This is an on-site position (full time, in office role) The Job Accounting Specialist is a full-time position and will report to the Regional Controller. Position Details: Maintain job revenue and costs by collecting, calculating and entering data, resolving discrepancies, and maintain job files Responsible for full construction project accounting functions (revenue and costs) Maintain and enter data entries of key processes, logs and reports Setup job projects and items accordingly Maintain project-related records and change orders; update system information Ensure proper project costing and prime contractor invoices Investigate project variances Assist with Accounts Receivable and Revenue backlog Discuss with management on any extra work opportunities for additional billings Close out project accounts upon project completion both internal and externally Proactively provide feedback to management on projects needing attention Compile information for internal and external auditors, as required Assist with ERP developments Assess and improve internal processes and controls as appropriate Education and Experience Requirements: 1-3 years of general accounting experience required Associate or Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field preferred Benefits: 401(k) 401(k) matching Dental insurance Health insurance Paid time off Vision insurance Company provided life insurance Short-term and long-term disability offerings 401(k) 401(k) matching Dental insurance Health insurance Paid time off Vision insurance Company provided life insurance Short-term and long-term disability offerings
