The Instructional Leadership SBL/SDL Program of the Esteves School of Education at Russell Sage College invites applications for a full time professor of practice position at the rank of Assistant Professor for the Instructional Leadership Program in Educational Leadership Department effective for the July or August 2024 semester. Candidates should be prepared to teach leadership courses as needed and comfortable teaching/working with students online. Remote work is possible.

The estimated base academic year salary for this position is $65,000, commensurate with experience.

Job Requirements:

The successful candidate will possess an earned leadership degree in education or related field from an accredited institution and certification as a school district leader. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated educational leadership in the form of publication, scholarship, substantial district leadership experience, and/or a proven record of instructional impact in their educational organization. The candidate will be responsible for teaching graduate courses in Instructional Leadership, preparing students for positions of school building and district leadership as well as NYS certification. Candidates should be comfortable teaching/working with students online. This position will also require strong communication and organizational skills. Other responsibilities will include advising students, monitoring student progress, and program implementation in alternate sites.

Preferred Requirements:

In addition to minimum requirements, the preferred candidate will have a doctorate in Education or related field and previous teaching experience in higher education at the graduate level.
