Description

We are in search of an Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in Trumbull, Connecticut. In this role, you will be working within the Marketing/PR industry, undertaking tasks such as account coding, using accounting software systems and supporting purchasing processes. This role offers a short term contract employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Accurate and efficient processing of customer credit applications.

• Maintenance and updating of customer credit records in the accounting software systems.

• Handling and resolution of customer inquiries related to accounts payable.

• Monitoring customer accounts and taking appropriate actions based on account status.

• Support in the purchasing department, including trade show and on-site services at hotels.

• Handling of purchase orders and ensuring they are accurately entered into SAGE.

• Utilization of ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning in performing accounting functions.

• Assistance in the management of American Express cards.

• Providing support during trade shows and other marketing events.

• Assisting in the learning process of purchasing orders.

Requirements • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within the Marketing/PR industry

• Proficiency in accounting software systems and Sage Accounting Software

• Experience with ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning

• Knowledge of account coding and accounting functions

• Experience with Accounts Payable (AP)

• Ability to support purchasing and manage purchase orders

• Experience working in a purchasing department

• Previous involvement in trade shows

• Solid understanding of the accounts payable process

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Attention to detail and high level of accuracy

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or related field is preferred.
