Aerotek Industrial Maintenance Technician in Tucker, Georgia

Job Title: Maintenance Mechanic

Job Description

Support our maintenance team in a food and bakery environment for a national customer by focusing on plant equipment and building maintenance, ensuring compliance with all food safety policies and OSHA regulations. This role is on the 3rd shift from 9 PM to 5:30 AM.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical issues with plant equipment, including mechanical drive systems, HVAC, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.

  • Diagnose and repair electrical problems with plant equipment, such as wiring, circuits, fuses, switches, electrical installations, transformers, motors, and AC/DC motor drives.

  • Perform preventive maintenance on all plant equipment to ensure optimal performance.

  • Conduct building maintenance and repairs, including air conditioning, lighting, and forklifts.

  • Execute small repairs on equipment to prevent long-term downtime until permanent repairs can be completed.

  • Report any food safety and quality issues to the appropriate personnel.

  • Comply with all food safety requirements, training, policies, and procedures.

  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Essential Skills

  • Maintenance technician experience

  • Mechanical skills

  • Experience in food manufacturing and baking

  • 2-year degree in electronics/maintenance mechanics or 3+ years of experience in a maintenance mechanic role

  • Proven experience in repair or preventive maintenance in hydraulics, pneumatics, machine shop, electricity, or electronics

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Working knowledge of CMMS

  • Understanding of lockout/tagout programs

  • Knowledge of boiler operations

  • Experience with ammonia, freon, or other cooling media

  • Ability to perform stick or TIG welding for small repairs

  • Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office

  • Ability to work with basic mathematical concepts to identify solutions

  • Strong communication skills

  • Ability to solve practical problems and handle a variety of concrete variables

  • Capability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment

Work Environment

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $32.00
