Description

Our client, a non-profit organization focusing on behavioral health, is in need for a Senior Staff Accountant to join their team on a temp-to-hire basis! This role is located near the downtown area, and will be assisting in various areas in accounting including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and working closely with the Director of Finance for the month-end close reconciliations. This is a great opportunity for someone who is looking to take the next step as an accountant, and grow into a more Senior role.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the process of Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) for accuracy.

-Assist in 1099's - coding AP to issue out accurate 1099s

• Conduct detailed Bank Reconciliations to ensure financial integrity.

• Maintain and update the General Ledger consistently.

• Prepare and review Journal Entries for financial transactions.

• Ensure timely Month End Close processes.

-Work within Sage and MS Excel

Requirements

• Proven experience in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Proficiency in performing Bank Reconciliations

• Extensive knowledge and understanding of the General Ledger

• Ability to prepare and manage Journal Entries

• Experience in Month End Close processes

-Ideally looking for someone with at least 3 years as a Staff Accountant
