Spectrum Comm Inc Technical Editor in Tucson, Arizona

The Technical Editor will play a vital role in ensuring the clarity, accuracy, and quality of technical documentation related to Government and DoD plans, reports, and manuals. This position requires proficiency in Microsoft Office products and a strong understanding of test planning and reporting processes. The Technical Editor will support project management training, facilitate meetings, and manage test documentation in accordance with standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Edit and write technical documents including Integrated Test Plans, Sufficiency of Test Reviews, Concept Review Briefings, Safety & Readiness Review Briefings, Interim Summary Reports, Fielding Recommendations, and Final Reports.

  • Provide technical editing support for project manager training sessions, annual WEPTAC presentations, and semi-annual Crosstell meetings.

  • Oversee the test planning and reporting processes, ensuring compliance with AATC Test and Reporting procedures and templates.

  • Manage a test management information system and a test data management repository, ensuring all documentation is current and accessible.

  • Facilitate test initiation and completion meetings, coordinating with test teams to ensure timelines and deliverables are met.

  • Prepare and maintain test documentation in accordance with AF Records Information Management System standards.

  • Ensure records disposition is conducted per relevant guidelines and organizational requirements.

  • Collaborate with engineers and other technical staff to clarify and enhance the content of documents as needed.

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Technical Communication, English, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

  • Experience with Government and DoD documentation standards and processes is highly desirable.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

  • Strong attention to detail and excellent editing/writing skills.

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple tasks effectively.

  • Familiarity with test planning and management processes is a plus.

  • Active Secret Clearance
