Job Title: Electrical Engineer

Job Description:

The Electrical Engineer will support projects ranging from small studies to multi-million dollar turn-key supply. A successful candidate must be team-oriented, organized, able to communicate to all levels of the organization, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. This instrumentation controls engineering role will be in support of a large research and development facility.

Responsibilities:

· 60% of Role will be electrical design specifications (NOT actual CAD work but detailing out the design for part/equipment) and 40% will be creating moderately complex designs & Office/Documentation type of work

· Developing control system software designs that include control of temperature, pressure, humidity, flow, force, motion of mechanisms, system safety, human safety, and other advanced process and electromechanical systems

· Developing control system software in PLC ladder logic (Allen Bradley Studio 5000), function block, HMI programming, etc

· Providing on-site team direction of facility startup, checkout, and commissioning activities, both domestically and abroad

· Communicating with clients and management regarding project status

· Estimating system design, material, installation, checkout, commissioning, and activation of projects

· Planning labor resources and scheduling project milestones to ensure project completion within technical scope, budget, and client schedule

· Developing proposals to capture future work with current clients and new markets

· Leading control and data acquisition projects through all phases to include design, fabrication, implementation, testing and commissioning

Projects:

The group specializes in the design, construction, and operation of unique and complex research and development facilities, including, as examples, wind tunnels

(aerospace, automotive, and motorsports), rocket test stands, climatic chambers, jet engine test cells, acoustic chambers, altitude test facilities, captive trajectory systems, and nuclear facilities. The projects span the automotive, motorsports, defense, nuclear, and aerospace markets. Recent clients include Audi, Boeing, BMW, Fiat Chrysler, Ford, Honda, General Motors, NASA, U.S. Air Force, U.S. Navy, U.S. Department of Energy, Volkswagen, confidential F1 motorsports clients, and many others in North America, Europe, and Asia.

· Hypersonic Weapons Research and Development

o Research, Testing, and Evaluation

· Nuclear Power Research and Development

o Fission Material Systems Development

· Aero-propulsion Testing Cell

o Wind Tunnel Development, Sensors, Control Instruments

Qualifications:

· Bachelors Degree in Engineering Discipline

· Ability to get a security clearance

· Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience

· Proficiency in all Microsoft Office programs

· Electrical Design Experience

· Equipment Specification Experience

· Instrumentation and Controls Experience

· Controls System Design and Programming

· An interest and experience in electronics, instrumentation, control and data acquisition systems, design, variable frequency drive systems, motion control systems, sensors and transmitters, actuators, PID control, and communication networks
