System One Interim Senior Accountant in Tulsa, Oklahoma

Position Overview:

The Senior Accountant will be responsible for overseeing and executing various accounting functions to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance. This role requires expertise in financial analysis, general ledger management, and proficiency with Great Plains accounting software. The ideal candidate will be a proactive problem-solver with a strong background in accounting within the supply chain sector. This position is a 4–6-month contract position that is fully remote. MUST be local to Tulsa.

Key Responsibilities:

  • General Ledger Management: Maintain and reconcile the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial data.

  • Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports. Analyze financial results and provide insights to management.

  • Account Reconciliation: Perform detailed account reconciliations, including bank statements, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.

  • Month-End Closing: Manage the month-end and year-end closing processes, including journal entries, accruals, and adjustments.

  • Great Plains Proficiency: Utilize Great Plains (Microsoft Dynamics GP) for financial transactions, reporting, and system management. Ensure data integrity and accuracy within the software.

  • Compliance: Ensure adherence to accounting policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. Assist with audits and provide necessary documentation.

  • Financial Analysis: Conduct financial analysis and variance analysis to support budgeting and forecasting activities. Identify trends and recommend improvements.

  • Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in accounting operations.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with other departments to support financial planning and analysis. Provide financial insights to support business decisions.

    Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA designation preferred but not required.

  • Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a senior or supervisory role.

  • Proficiency with Great Plains (Microsoft Dynamics GP) accounting software is required.

  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance.

  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

  • High attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams.
