Conceptualize, design, and develop products and systems as part of a highly engaged and integrated engineering team. You will be the key technical focal point across Honeywell Universal Oil Products (UOP) engineering teams creating solutions and systems that meet the evolving needs of our customers. By collaborating with customers and broader engineering teams, you will influence electrical design directions and methodology developments. As an electrical engineering technical expert, you will leverage advanced tools and simulation techniques to deliver high-impact business results while acting as a technical leader and coach for other engineers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Apply prescriptive methodology to project tasks

  • Lead engineering teams

  • Perform specification review

  • Standardize global electrical design

  • Communicate non-compliance incidents

  • Prepare or update reports and documentation

  • Use computer-assisted equipment

  • Execute project tasks

  • Identify areas for technical improvement

YOU MUST HAVE

  • Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent)

  • 10+ Years’ experience generating requisitions for various types of Electrical equipment such as Motors, Lighting, and Heat Tracing

  • Experience leading teams

  • 10 Years’ experience developing standards for electrical equipment

WE VALUE

  • Experience mentoring or coordinating a team of Engineers

  • PE or similar Electrical certification preferred

  • Incorporate applicable Hazardous codes and customer requirements in order to produce a complete technical definition of the equipment.

  • Assumes the secondary/primary liaison role with various outside suppliers and customers

  • Technically evaluate bids and participate in the supplier selection process

  • Review supplier designs against licensor requirements, code requirements, and customer requirements.

  • Coordinate with suppliers throughout the fabrication phase of the project.

  • Visit shops for kickoff meetings and critical inspections points

  • Work closely with all members of the project team including quality assurance, piping, instrument, process, and structural designers, purchasing personnel, and project managers to meet project requirements for Instrument

  • Knowledge of applicable NEC, European, Other Countries code UOP standards for Electrical equipment.

  • Familiarity with 3-D Model Design, Conduit/Tray Routing, Mechanical Support and Installation Details

  • Engineering degree from an accredited university

The annual base salary range for this position is $140k - $175k. This position is incentive eligible. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline.
