Navistar, Inc. Manufacturing Operations Manager Associate in Tulsa, Oklahoma

This production management position will oversee 6 Team Leads and 10 Assistant Team Leads and have full responsibility for meeting clear metrics within our plant and be tasked with meeting quality and safety objectives. This permanent position will work with cross-functional teams and will be involved in Operations, Tooling, Staffing, and Forecasting.As a Navistar Employee, you will enjoy working in a 950,000 sq. ft. former Air Force bomber plant constructed during WWII located in beautiful Tulsa, Oklahoma with paid vacation, health benefits, and company provided retirement plan.

Responsibilities

  • Directs the development and implementation of activities in production area(s) to meet production goals, quality and cost objectives

  • Prioritizes production schedules based on product introduction, equipment efficiency, and materials supply

  • Plans and administers procedures and budgets

  • Makes budgetary recommendations and may control capital expenditures and direct/indirect labor

  • Develops schedules and manpower requirements for assigned areas

  • Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • At least 6 years of production/manufacturing experience

  • 1 year lead experience

OR

  • Master’s degree

  • At least 4 years of production/manufacturing experience

  • 1 year lead experience

OR

  • At least 8 years of production/manufacturing experience

  • 1 year lead experience

Additional Requirements

  • Qualified candidates, excluding current Navistar employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States. Navistar does not anticipate providing employment related work sponsorship for this position (e.g., H-1B status)

Desired Skills

  • Experience and proven track record on delivering on projects from design to implementation

  • Ability to understand performance, quality, and cost data generated from daily manufacturing operations

  • Previous Management experience within a manufacturing setting

  • Experience with overseeing Union and non-Union workforces

  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to manage a diverse workforce and form strong relationships across all levels of the organization
