Position Description:

• At least five (5) years experience operating, maintaining, diagnosing and repairing HVAC equipment.
• State of OklahomaJourneyman\'s license required; State of OklahomaContractor\'s license preferred.
• Excellent mechanical aptitude
• Knowledge of and the ability to install and maintain residential and commercial cooling and heating systems.
• Knowledge of methods, tools, and equipment used in the repair of heating and air conditioning equipment in residential and light commercial buildings.
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in training and teaching others.
• The work schedule for this position requires flexibility to work one night per week, 6 - 10pm, as scheduled throughout the spring, summer and fall semesters.

\ Job Functions for all ACD Instructors:

1. Demonstrate extensive knowledge of and experience in the appropriate subject matter.
2. Instruct students in competency-based program curriculum using current instructional strategies appropriate to the subject matter to assure highest quality classroom instruction.
3. Effectively manage the classroom to create an optimal learning environment.
4. Maintain up-to-date records of student attendance, academic progress and grades as required by district policy and certification/regulatory agencies.
5. Ensure syllabus, supply list and lesson plans are current prior to each class taught.
6. Demonstrate effective people skills, communication skills and professionalism (i.e. prepared, reliable, responsible, punctual, etc.)
7. Demonstrate an understanding of and commitment to the mission and goals of Tulsa Techs ACD program
8. Participate in professional development opportunities as required by the ACD department.
9. Perform other duties as assigned by management from time to time.
