The Safety Specialist is responsible for ensuring a hazard-free work environment and coordinating the company\'s safety measures. This role includes ensuring compliance with OSHA, DEQ, and DOT regulations, tracking DART and TRIR, and identifying leading indicators. The Safety Specialist also conducts incident investigations, reporting, and corrective actions. Additionally, the safety specialist is responsible for conducting safety inspections, recommending corrective measures, and performing incident investigations. They instruct employees on safety procedures, conduct facility inspections, and ensure compliance with OSHA and other regulatory standards. They also provide enterprise-wide safety services, maintain KPA, deliver EHS metrics, and conduct safety training. Key skills include exceptional customer service, leadership, organizational and problem-solving abilities, and proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
