ONE Gas, a premier natural gas distribution company with corporate offices in Tulsa, OK, is looking for an Accounting Intern to join our team. ONE Gas Accounting Interns receive challenging and exciting assignments as well as opportunities to network with other interns and leadership. ONE Gas Interns are placed within departments and given the opportunity to experience the type of work they might encounter in a full-time position through projects, on-the-job assignments, job shadowing, and presentations. ONE Gas Internships offer a competitive environment that exposes students to project management and teamwork experiences.

Work assignments are anticipated to be in Tulsa, Oklahoma with a hybrid work schedule.

Position Requirements:

What You Will Do

• Performs entry level activities related to various accounting and financial functions.

• Learn new technology tools, interpret data efficiently and accurately, and contribute to financial analysis supporting company decisions.

• Prepare various journal entries, records, account reconciliations, and reports, related to accounting or finance to support month-end closing procedures.

• Assist with preparation of applicable spreadsheet models and/or applications used in finance and accounting activities.

• Assist with preparation and/or verification of financial information including but not limited to:

• Ratios

• Actual to forecast and historical period variance analysis

• Governmental/regulatory reports

• Financial reports

• Reconciliation reports

• Quarterly income statements

• Provide metrics and other adhoc reporting as needed

What You Will Need

Prefer students who are projected to graduate in December 2025 or May 2026 with a degree in Accounting or Finance enrolled at the University of Oklahoma, University of Tulsa, Oklahoma State University, Northeastern State University, or Langston University but may consider other applicable majors.

Prefer students to have a GPA of above 3.0 and involvement in extracurricular, community support activities, and leadership positions. Prior work experience (internships, summer or part-time work while attending school, etc.) is also preferred.

Timeline

Applications for our summer internship program open in August. We are recruiting interns beginning in September. Interviews follow campus career fairs. Offers are typically extended to students by the end of October or early November.

Compensation: All ONE Gas internship positions are paid. We offer a fair and competitive pay rate.
