The Salvation Army Caseworker in Turlock, California

Description

OVERVIEW:

The Caseworker will provide resources to clients and assist in the food pantry.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Answer incoming calls and direct calls

  • Enter applicant information into Excel spreadsheets through The Salvation Army online database

  • Assistant clients in the social service lobby

  • Maintain client records, donations, and Salvation Army statistics

  • Intake clients seeking emergency food box and utility assistance

  • Maintain cleanliness of pantry, stock shelves, and fill food boxes

  • Provide data entry for social services

  • Assist with Christmas events

  • Participate in staff meetings

  • Pick up donations

  • Other duties as required

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (required)

  • CA Driver’s license (required)

  • 21 years old (required)

  • Experience with Microsoft programs

  • Experience in Social Services (1 year preferred)

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Bilingual in Spanish (preferred)

  • Ability to communicate effectively

  • Team player

  • Detail oriented

EQUIPMENT USED:

  • Modern Office Equipment and Relevant Software

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
