TURNERS FALLS - 2ND SHIFT - Evening Custodian Job Description The evening custodial position will be responsible for housekeeping operations and the performance of custodial duties to help maintain a clean and healthy school environment. Duties include general cleaning, vacuuming, trash removal, floor care, sanitation and other duties related to custodial work. Ability to operate cleaning machines, electronic email systems and work order program and lift up to 50 lbs is required. Must fulfill the duties of custodian in a safe manner in accordance with district procedures and OSHA requirements. Ability to remove snow from entrances during winter months and conduct light maintenance duties (chair setup, lightbulb changes, visual inspections of facilities, reporting issues via computerized work order system) and other related duties as needed. DESIRABLE JOB QUALIFICATIONS Demonstrated ability to read, write and follow oral and written instructions effectively and efficiently. Must possess good oral and written communications skills and be able to follow oral and written instructions. Ability to express ideas effectively and concisely necessary. Demonstrated ability to communicate and interact effectively and courteously with students, staff, parents, and community members. High school graduate (required) OSHA 10 (preferred but will train the right candidate) SCHEDULE & PAY School Year Schedule: Monday-Friday 1:00pm-9:00pm Break Period Schedule: Monday-Friday 10:00am-6:00pm (Vacations and summer hours) Pay Range \$16.25 to \$18.75 based on experience Associate degree preferred.
