About the Team: ZF’s automotive manufacturing plant in Tuscaloosa, AL, is a key facility within the company’s Chassis Systems division. This plant specializes in producing front and rear axle assemblies, essential components for various vehicles. With a dedicated workforce of approximately 265 employees, the plant operates collaboratively across all levels of personnel and departments, ensuring efficient and high-quality production processes. The Tuscaloosa plant plays a crucial role in ZF’s commitment to innovation and excellence in the automotive industry. As an EHS Specialist, you are responsible for compliance for all environmental, safety and health aspects including federal, state, and local ZF Foxconn global requirements. As a member of the HR team, you will adhere to all HR policies and assists with al HR related activities.
What you can look forward to as an EHS Specialist:
Supports the Tuscaloosa Facility and Corporate Functions for all matters relating to Environmental, Health, and Safety.
Develops programs for accident prevention and awareness.
Guides and promotes safe work performance by developing systems, policies, and procedures.
Responsible for recording OSHA reporting requirements.
Maintain health, environmental, and safety KPIs / HR Metrics.
Responsible for evaluation of environmental issues and completion of annual environmental reports.
Assists with managing security of the ZF Foxconn Facility for Tuscaloosa.
Coordinates for truck and panel truck safety program training and maintains for truck licensee. Ensures program adheres to states and federal requirements.
*May be required to work modified schedule to support customer requirements (i.e.: overtime, vacation coverage, off-shifts, 8 and/ 12-hour schedules, holidays, etc.).
Your Profile as an EHS Specialist:
Bachelor’s degree required.
2-5+ years related experience.
OSHA 30 Hour Course preferred.
ISO 14001/ OHSAS18001 Lead Auditor preferred.
