Description

We are seeking a Staff Accountant to join our team based in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. In this role, you will be involved in a range of responsibilities including processing customer applications, maintaining accurate customer records, and resolving customer inquiries. This role is set in the stable environment of our established financial industry and offers an opportunity to develop as a valued technical expert.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately process customer credit applications in a timely manner

• Maintain comprehensive and up-to-date customer credit records

• Handle and resolve customer inquiries professionally

• Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate actions based on account status

• Perform bank reconciliations to ensure accurate financial reporting

• Manage Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) to ensure all financial data is accurate

• Maintain the General Ledger and prepare Journal Entries

• Complete Month End Close processes to ensure timely financial reporting

• Use financial software such as NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP in daily tasks

• Maintain consistent, error-free work based on defined regulations and standards.

Requirements

Candidates must have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required and 0 to 5 years of experience. Previous professional accounting experience is preferred but not required.
